Research: Efficacy of Core Stability Exercises vs Physiotherapy in Management of Lower Back Pain

A piece or research published in the Northwest Journal of Medical Sciences in 2023 compared the effectiveness of Core Stability Exercises vs conventional physical therapy in the management of lower back pain.

A total of 60 patients (2 female and 58 male) were randomly assigned to either receiving core stability exercises for thirty minutes, three times a day, for four weeks, or to receive conventional Physiotherapy for the same time. The research concluded that there was significant improvement of pain and function in both groups, but core stability exercises were more effective than physiotherapy for treatment of lower back pain.
